The Louvre (Paris, France)

 The Louvre, located in Paris, France, is one of the world's largest and most famous museums. Originally a medieval fortress, it was transformed into a royal palace in the 16th century and later became a public museum during the French Revolution in 1793. The museum's iconic glass pyramid entrance was designed by architect I.M. Pei and completed in 1989.

The Louvre houses an extensive and diverse collection of art and artifacts spanning over 9,000 years of history. It boasts over 380,000 objects, including the renowned painting "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci and the sculpture "Venus de Milo."
